Playing Minecraft is a blast! Everything seems so realistic that you almost believe you are on another planet, on another world. And as happens in all known worlds, time also changes. As you may have noticed, in fact on Minecraft day and night alternate just like it happens on Earth. The night is full of pitfalls. With the darkness the mobs do not disappear, on the contrary they become more difficult to intercept thanks to their colors often tending to black. To these are added many insidious creatures that can undermine our survival in the world of Minecraft just when we maybe let our guard down.
It would be nice to be able to see better at night, to have a clearer vision, a bit like cats do, and to be able to detect in time those who try to shield themselves from the darkness to destroy us and take possession of what we have managed to obtain. But the creators of the Minecraft game have thought of this as well! You may have already understood: this is the night vision potion. This potion, which is obtained thanks to the use of the brewing station, will allow you to see well even in the dark. You can choose between a basic duration of the effect of three minutes, but you can also easily decide to extend it up to eight minutes! Not bad right? In this guide I will walk you through in a few simple steps how to get the night vision potion. It really is a no-brainer. Then let’s get started!
Required Materials to create a Potion of Night Vision in Minecraft:

Creating a Potion of Night Vision is very simple: you can choose crafting if you are in survival mode, so follow the first option. If you are in creative mode, go directly to the second option.
OPTION ONE: CRAFTING A POTION OF NIGHT VISION IN SURVIVAL MODE
1. Open the brewing station’s grid
First place a brewing station on the ground and open its menu to use it by right clicking on it. A tab like the one you find in the image below will open:
2. Insert the Blaze Powder as a fuel
Now enter blaze powder in the top left-hand box of the menu as fuel for distilling the potion
3. Insert the Water bottle
Now insert the bottle of water in the square at the bottom left as you can see in the following photo:
ADDITIONAL NOTE: You can get a bottle full of water by making an empty one with the workbench and inserting three units of glass. Then pick it up and fill it in a river, pond or sea
3. Insert the Nether Wart
Now insert the nether wart into the small square at the top center. The brewing station will signal the start of distillation by coloring the arrow you see on the right pointing downwards in white. A sound will indicate that distillation has taken place. In this phase you will get a “strange potion”.
4. Insert the Golden Carrot
Now always add a golden carrot in the central square. A new distillation will begin after which you will get the three minute night vision potion!
5. Insert the redstone powder
If you want to get a potion lasting eight minutes, repeat the step by inserting a unit of redston powder in the central square at the top as you can see in the photo:
6. Collect the item
Now click on the obtained potion and collect it in your inventory. You can drink it when you feel the need and you will be able to see well even at night for a discreet duration! Not bad right?
OPTION TWO: FIND THE POTION OF NIGHT VISION IN CREATIVE MODE
